Social Media: The BAD

Social media may have its goods, but it definitely has more "bad" than anything. It is statistically proven that people are more likely to get depressed over what other people post. If they put up pictures of a vacation that YOU can't go to, you'd be depressed about it. It also destroys social interactions with people, because you are able to talk online. You may never hang out with your friends because you always talk with them through Facebook or other social networks.
There is also a fun fact that you can learn: Facebook sells your personal information to businesses. Yes. That's how Facebook makes Billions of Dollars. That is a violation of privacy and something should be done about it, but it all falls under us because "we agreed to the terms of use". How enjoyable is that? Knowing every second you are on Facebook, your personal life is being sold to businesses for them to advertise to you? Quite enjoyable right?
For me, this is the biggest and worst thing ANYONE can do to the consumers. It is good that we can see advertisements based on what we want, but the way to GAIN that knowledge is a violation on it's own.
